Instructions for the 2nd Generation

Instructions for the 2nd Generation

Definitions:

1st Generation – Started something new, took a leap of faith, broke away from the mold of the past to try something untried.  Maybe they failed.  Maybe they succeeded.

2nd Generation – Watched and took part of the 1st Generation’s leap of faith.  Saw it all happen, but not responsible for the successes or the failures.  Now they are standing on the edge of the future – deciding whether or not to live by faith themselves.

3rd Generation – Just beginning to exist.  The acts of the 1st Generation will be history.  The acts of the 2nd Generation will determine the course of their lives.  If faith does not continue, it may be many generations before another 1st Generation comes along again.

Hi!

Hi! Glad to have you here at my blog!

I’m Kathleen Dalton – Mother of 5, Grandmother of 19, and Pastor’s wife.

My husband, Ken, and I are church planters – we love teaching people about Jesus, and then getting them plugged into a great church where they can grow in the Lord and begin to learn what His plans are for their lives.  Nothing more fun in the world.  We are in our mid-60’s, and have had the privilege of starting 5 churches in the last 40 years.  Right now we are in the beginning stages of planting another church in Greenwood, Indiana – Village Bible Church.  You can learn more about us at onemorechurch.com.    Or…at villagechurchlife.com.

Over the years I’ve written a few Bible Studies to use in church small groups, and they’ve sort of grown into the collection you will find in this blog.

On the tabs above, you can find them “By the Book”   –  Bible Studies for each book of the Bible (ie:  Galatians, Genesis, Revelation, etc.).

Or you can find them as “By the Topic”, such as:  How to Memorize the Bible, How to Study the Bible, etc.

I hope you can use these studies in your Small Groups, or for your own personal Bible Study devotional time every day.

If you don’t know Jesus yet, reading and studying your Bible will lead you to Him.  And if you do know Him, I pray that you will grow into the person He always wanted you to be!

His Grateful Servant – Kathleen
